Years in the making, the Comfort Theory: New Zealand set out to thru-hike the length of New Zealand in November of 2015. Over six months, two islands and 1800 miles, we created a new media company: Comfort Theory.

We designed the experience and brought on 14 of the most badass brands in the outdoor industry as sponsors to make this happen. This was our first portfolio piece, a test of our combined skills and determination to create something big, a project to serve as a starting point for a new company and a turning point for our lives.

MY ROLE

PRODUCER & LEAD PHOTOGRAPHER

Managed photography across several shooters and fourteen brand sponsors maintaining a professional quality and on-brand aesthetic for each sponsor. Selected and edited 200+ final deliverables

MANAGER

Managed overall project from business strategy to project logistics. Consulted with co-founders on business strategy, brand identity and voice, value proposition and organization.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR: WEBSITE

Hired and worked with web designer, Tommy Treadway, to develop a new online presence for Comfort Theory. The goal was to solidify the identity of the company, highlight the New Zealand project and attract new business.
